If you don’t care about yourself, how can you expect someone else too? Everything begins with how you feel about yourself on the inside. That reflects on the outside. Whether you notice or not, others will. Quite honestly, you will notice it too even if only in subtle ways at first.
Achieving wellness begins and ends with self-care. It’s about nurturing the mind-body-spirit connection through living a balanced, low stress life. Someone once asked me how I find the motivation to stick to a diet and exercise regularly. First, I do not “diet.” I eat right for life. I do that as well as exercise because my life depends on it. It’s that simple.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying you can’t splurge or be lazy once in awhile. Just be very aware of when the negative habits start to overtake your life so you can nip them immediately. Otherwise you will find your quality of life being challenged and the only one to blame will be you.
It’s important to remember that your core thoughts determine your core feelings which influence your core actions. So when you give a sh*t about yourself and take care of your mind, body and spirit, you will radiate a positive energy that will enhance the quality of your wellbeing.
